Heroes

Many have lost their homes, and some their families. A few of them just want to fight. They come from every region of Tyberia, and whatever their background, they share one thing in common – the thirst to destroy the Tyrant and reclaim the Island of Tyberia, no matter what it takes!

The Assassin is a high damage killer, but suffers from low HP.  On the other hand, Support heroes’ mission is to shield their teammates from harm, but deal little or no damage.

Pets

The pets of Tyrant’s Blessing serve as light support for your team. They’re not as powerful as your heroes, but cost less to deploy. Their unique skills will often prove useful, and might even mean the difference between victory and an extra squad for the Dead Army! 

Each game-day, you will have several locations to choose from, each with different challenges and resource rewards, like weapons, food or heroes/pets needing rescue.

Before combat, you must analyze the enemy’s forces and decide which units to commit to battle. Heroes will be teleported onto the battlefield by our wizened mage Screeg, but the number of fighters he can transport are limited by their mass. A small pet for example would have mass 1, a normal hero 3, and a big tank 4.

Opportunity Attacks

The game’s combat system is inspired by Into the Breach and Invisible Inc. Every enemy action is displayed in advance of their turn. However if a hero is targeted by the enemy and simply walks away, this triggers an immediate attack. How can the player get around this?

Utilize the environment!

Bushes

Heroes hidden in bushes will not be targeted by the enemy. Move into an adjacent bush tile and leave the enemy baffled.

Trees

When a tree is destroyed, it generates smoke in adjacent grids. Enemies will lose their targets in the smoke. Timberrrr!

Bridges

Bridges can be destroyed. An enemy on a collapsed bridge will fall into the water and lose his next attack. Baboosh!

Stones

Hop over an adjacent boulder to dodge an enemy attack. 

Have your Tank absorb the damage

With high HP and sturdy armor, this support unit can rush in to protect other team members. Not today, Spearman.

Pets can assist you on the battlefield

 Or simply destroy them first!  

Talents

As an assassin, Darby doesn’t need to utilize the environment to avoid the enemy. He moves so swiftly, he can evade opportunity attacks at will. Leave your foes in the dust!

This unit has lived in the shadows his whole life. Shadow deals extra damage when striking from hiding. Goodnight.

Leland is a renowned master of ranged weapons, but he harbors a sinister secret: a thirst for blood. Leland gains 1 HP every time he eliminates his target.

What happens if you lose your hero?

Any lost player unit becomes a pawn of the Tyrant, and will roam the Island with his army. But unlike the other Undying, it’s not too late to save them! Fallen heroes can still revert to their human form. If you encounter them later in your journey, you’ll have to defeat them in order to bring them home.
